Cancer Support Program

A cancer diagnosis can be stressful and overwhelming. If you have Medical Plan coverage administered by Cigna or UHC, the Plan administrators’ Cancer Support Programs (CSPs) can help you during this difficult time. The programs feature a team of highly trained and experienced nurses, social workers and board-certified oncologists who work to ensure you or your loved ones receive the best possible care. When you enroll in the program, you will be referred to Centers of Excellence (COEs), high-performing cancer facilities that are noted for obtaining the best outcomes. If you enroll within 60 days of diagnosis, you will also receive higher medical coverage. If you have met your annual in-network deductible, timely use of the CSPs ensures that the Plan covers 100% of your cost of cancer-related treatments and procedures provided by in-network doctors and facilities. Note: 100% coverage is extended to cancer-related medical claim expenses only, which must indicate a cancer diagnosis. This does not apply to pharmacy claims. Regular engagement with a CSP nurse is required.
