What You Need to Know

We are pleased to announce the Solium 401(k) Plan will merge into the Morgan Stanley 401(k) Plan on January 2, 2020. The plan merger means lower plan-related cost options and more investment choices for you through the Morgan Stanley 401(k) Plan. In addition, if your Eligible Pay is less than $100,000 for the year, you will receive an additional non-matching contribution of 2% of your Eligible Pay.

For a smooth transition, please review the following information about the merger, including key dates and deadlines, and the Morgan Stanley 401(k) Plan.

Timeline
Dec. 2First day you can set up your Morgan Stanley 401(k) deferral rates that will apply to your first paycheck in 2020.
Dec. 6 at 2 am ETDeadline to change your Solium 401(k) Plan deferral rates that will apply to your December 13 and December 31 paychecks.
Dec. 9 at 4 pm ETDeadline to transfer funds from the Schwab Self-Directed Brokerage account to another investment option within the Solium 401(k) Plan. If you do not take action, your assets will be automatically transferred to the JPMCB Stable Asset Income F15 Fund.
Dec. 24 at 1 pm ETDeadline to request a distribution or a loan from the Solium 401(k) Plan. To do so, call 1-855-576-7526 or visit retirementlink.jpmorgan.com.

Jan. 6 at 9 am ET
During this “blackout period,” you will not be able to direct or change your investments in your Solium 401(k) Plan account, or obtain a distribution or a loan from the Solium 401(k) Plan. For more information, see Your Rights under the Solium Capital, LLC, 401(k) Plan.
Dec. 31 at 4 pm ETInvestments held in your Solium 401(k) Plan account will be liquidated and transferred automatically into similar funds in the Morgan Stanley 401(k) Plan, as described in the Solium Capital, LLC, 401(k) Plan Investment Funds Mapping Notice.
Jan. 2 at 4 pm ETDeadline to setup your Morgan Stanley 401(k) deferral rates, if you want to have contributions taken from your first paycheck in 2020.
Jan. 6 after 9 am ETFirst day you can change your investments in the Morgan Stanley 401(k) Plan.
