2020 and 2021 Plan Year Information

NEW IN 2021

Starting January 1, 2021, Express Scripts will be managing Morgan Stanley’s prescription drug plan.

Express Scripts is the largest independent manager of pharmacy benefits in the United States and one of the country’s largest pharmacies, serving more than 85 million people. With Express Scripts, you have flexibility and choice in how you receive your medications — you can pick them up at your neighborhood pharmacy, have them delivered or, depending on where you live, take advantage of a new same-day delivery service from Capsule, for free. Whichever option you choose, the Firm is partnering with Express Scripts to ensure you and your family get affordable medication, quickly and conveniently.

All of the current prescription drug benefit plan features are staying the same in 2021, including copays and deductibles (if enrolled in Option C).

Tips to Help You Start Using Your New Pharmacy Benefits in 2021

    • If you elect Medical Plan Option A, B or C, you will receive a new combined medical and prescription drug ID card from your medical plan administrator (Cigna or UnitedHealthcare) by January 1, 2021.
    • You must present your new ID card to any pharmacies you use so that they have your correct prescription drug plan information on file.
  • Current Prescriptions Will Be Transferred:
    • All current prescriptions will be automatically transferred to Express Scripts with a few exceptions:
      • Expired prescriptions will not be transferred. You will need to contact your doctor for a new prescription.

    • You may continue to have prescriptions filled by OptumRx through December 31, 2020. You may want to ensure that you have enough of any current medications to last through mid-January.
  • Register for the Express Scripts Site Beginning January 1:
    • After the first of the year you can register for an Express Scripts account at express-scripts.com.
    • All of your medication history will be transferred, including current refills and prescriptions filled previously.
