Paid Family Caregiver Leave

2024 Plan Information

4 weeks of paid leave to care for a family member with a serious health issue.

How much time do I get?
Morgan Stanley’s caregiver leave policy provides eligible employees with up to 4 weeks of paid leave from work to care for a family member with a serious health condition.

Who may take paid family caregiver leave and to care for whom?
US employees who have been employed with the Firm for at least 6 months.
Employees may take this time to care for a parent, spouse, domestic partner or child with a serious health condition – the same relatives outlined in the Family and Medical Leave Act.

How it works

Inform your HR Business Partner and your manager of your upcoming leave – and arrange for your team to cover your assignments while you’re away.
As soon as you’re able, contact MetLife, the Firm’s leave administrator. Employees should give as much notice as reasonably possible to MetLife and will be required to submit documentation verifying their eligibility, which may include forms from the family member’s healthcare provider. Read and review the full policy on the HR Policy portal on MSToday.
