No. Only prescription drugs that are considered maintenance medications are required to be filled for 90 days. Maintenance medications are those you may take on an ongoing basis for conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, as well as birth control and certain behavioral health medications. Your first three 30-day fills of a maintenance medication may be filled at a retail pharmacy, though you’ll likely pay more than if you use a 90 day pharmacy.
Prescriptions that are excluded from mandatory 90 day supply include controlled medications, antibiotics and medications used on a short-term basis for the treatment of specific medical conditions.
