Physical Health
Morgan Stanley’s benefits fall into two categories:
A select subset you elect during annual enrollment each fall for the coming year1. Additionally, a few benefits require you and your dependents participate in the Firm’s medical plan through Cigna or UnitedHealthcare; these benefits are marked with a dagger – † – below and in the Be In the Know benefits guide).
Those – the majority – that do not require you to enroll and may be used at any time

No Cost to Employees; Coverages Available Only to Employees, Not Dependents
* You may also enroll in Firm benefits as a new employee or newly benefits-eligible employees during your first 31 days. Additionally, following a life event, you may adjust your benefits within 31 days of the event (e.g., following a birth, marriage or divorce, or the loss of coverage through your parents when you turn 26).
1 Generally, employees may elect benefits for themselves, their spouse or domestic partner or children below the age of 26. For questions about eligibility, call HR Services at 877-674-7411.
2 Employees who do not enroll in the Firm’s medical plan, may elect to contribute to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account only if they do not participate in a high-deductible health plan.
3 Elect to contribute to a Health Savings Account at any time if you have elected Medical Plan Option C.
